How To Apply Jobs Effectively
The best resource for jobs hunting in Singapore is The Straits Times newspaper's job classification. If you see any job fit with you, just call them for an interview as soon as possible. Even if the job criteria are not fit with you (such as PR only, driving license must have or …..) just apply. Your duty is to apply Singapore jobs. Choosing or rejecting is their decision.
As for me, if the Strait Times ads had phone number, I called it first. And then emailed. I personally searched Singapore jobs from "JobsDB" and "JobStreet" mostly. I find out email address, wrote it down and applied them with my Gmail and attached my attractive resume (I made my resume with single Microsoft Word file including scan recommendation letters and all certificates in it). Don't forget to write down a nice cover letter in email message when you apply Singapore jobs. So… the employer will know more about you on the spot and determine to call for an interview. I believe you will get more interviews doing that.
If they call you for an interview, you have 50% of chance to get that job. Because they like you on paper. The rest is your ability to make it happen during interview. Exciting…! Right?
In my funny story, when the employer called me for an interview, I didn't know which company it was and what position it was calling from. It is funny. I think you may also have that experience too.
